The site features a ⅓ scale train that will take kids and their parents all across the serene Irvine Regional Park. The railroad crafts a new experience by the season, taking you through pumpkin patches during the fall and beneath sparkling light displays during the winter holidays.

The Santa Ana Zoo gives your Orange County kids the chance to hang out with some of your favorite animals for the day. The park features wildlife such as anteaters, camels, and bald eagles. There’s a children’s area that contains playgrounds, a butterfly garden, and a carousel. They also offer educational programs for kids up through second grade.

Pretend City is a children’s museum that’s perfect for kids through the early elementary years. The center has been set up to encourage your child to learn through play. Your child can put on a rock concert at the amphitheater or learn some math over at the bank. There are water areas, an art studio, a pretend dentist’s office, and so much more.

If you need a truly spectacular Orange County family day out with the kids, head on over to Knott’s Berry Farm. This Peanuts-themed attraction park has rides that will thrill people of all ages. There are kids’ rides for children less than 36 inches, as well as fast wooden coasters for older daredevils. Plus, there’s a water park with slides and family splash areas.

The Pacific Marine Mammal Center is a space devoted to taking care of vulnerable sea creatures. The animal hospital is on the frontlines, rehabilitating injured animals and completing research to figure out how to help make the seas more sustainable. You can see the animals swimming in underwater viewing pools or learn all about them with interactive displays. Admission is free, and all donations go to assist the team on their mission to a happier ocean.
